The Peruvian Paso Horse is very much a passion for me. I have been in the Peruvian Horse breed for 21 years. I was first introduced to the breed at the age of 10 and my parents then purchased our first Peruvian horse when I was 12.
I grew up competing in junior classes eventually moving into the other divisions all the while increasing my knowledge about the breed. In addition to learning to become a better rider, I also learned much about the bloodlines of our breed and eventually began to breed for my own horses. Among the breedings I have planned, there are a few Regional Champions and Champion of Champions and I look forward each year to see what my breedings will produce for the future.
I personally own two Peruvian horses although my family, which includes four generations, owns 25 Peruvian horses. In addition to my experiences in the arena as a competitor, I have also worked every possible position (except for judge) at a show from a results runner as a junior to
show coordinator as well as positions on the board of a regional club. My favorite position to fill is Ring Steward. Last year it was a privilege to be asked to be the Ring Steward for the AAOBPPH National show. This year I am honored to be asked to fill the position again. It is also very much and honor to be asked to be the Ring Steward at the Camino Real Regional Show and I look forward to meeting many of you.
