German Baca
A master trainer and rider, German Baca brings to any horse training situation a rich background of experience in most major forms of equitation.
German was born in Peru and showed great talent for handling and riding Peruvian horses at an early age. Great breeders of the Peruvian horse, such as Fernando and Antonio Grana and Pepe Musante, Sr. were his mentors; his teachers were master trainers of the breed, Alfredo Leon and reinsman, Luis Perez.
German has since studied many kinds of equitation and he has trained many different breeds of horses, including warmbloods, and most Spanish breeds. He has taken clinics in High School classical equitation with such masters as Nuno Oliveira, from the Portuguese tradition and Sr. Rocawanskii, of the Spanish tradition. His training methods are a blend of many different equitations, including natural horsemanship and centered riding, and he is always studying new ways to work with horses.
Though German was born in Peru, he has lived in the United States since 1978. He resides in California and trains and shows Andalusians, Peruvian Pasos and various other breeds. He recently trained and toured with the Kiger Mustang used as the model for the stallion featured in Dreamworks animated film, Spirit.
At Four Mountains Ranch, we believe German is one of the very best trainers and teachers in the United States. He can work with any horse at any level and accomplish whatever the goal is with that horse. Whether you want German's expertise in training your horse, or one-on-one guidance from German's clinics in working your horse yourself, enjoy the difference that excellent training can make with you and your horse.
