Hacienda La Cumbre is located in the Santa Ynez Valley north of Santa Barbara, California.  The ranch sits on a hill over-looking wineries and horse ranches.  To the east is the Los Padres National Forest.  It is a peaceful setting for the enjoyment of these wonderful Peruvian horses.
     We purchased our first two Peruvian horses in 1997, for the trails in Colorado.  Within two years, we imported six Peruvian horses from Peru, four of which placed high at a Peruvian Nationals.  In 1999, we began our breeding program.  Our bloodlines boast Sol de Paijan, Caramelo, Piloto, Antares, Regional, and Domingo.  It is our philosophy to produce the finest stock through selective breeding, quality nutrients, and outstanding training.
     Our foals are handled from birth and are trained by Chalan Amador Carrera. Under his training, HLC has been awarded numerous Regional Championships and multiple National Championships.
