We are very saddened to tell you that Sofija Galante has passed away.  Sofija and Dr. Jorge Galante owned Estancia El Corcel in Clinton, Wisconsin

Sofija Galante (née Kabliauskas) died on July 16, 2010 in Chicago, IL.  Born in Zebertonis, Lithuania, she immigrated to the United States in 1955 and worked as a clinical cytologist at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL.  In 1963, she married Dr. Jorge O. Galante.  In addition to Dr. Galante, she is survived by her daughter, Regina Benson (née Palaitis) of Golden, CO, her son, Charles Galante of Darien, CT, her brother Henry Kabliauskas, her sisters Wanda Brazdziunas and Ann Rolander, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  She was interred in a private family service on July 18, 2010 at Randhill Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.  An open memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Ballroom in Chicago, IL (visitation at 5:15 p.m. followed by a service at 6:15 p.m.)In lieu of flowers, the Galante family requests donations are made in her memory to:
